Background of the Study
Information Technology (IT) training programs are designed to improve employees’ technical skills, enhance their productivity, and ensure that they are equipped to handle the challenges posed by rapidly evolving technology. In corporate organizations, IT training is essential for improving employee performance by ensuring that employees can effectively use technological tools and systems (Kassim et al., 2023). Well-trained employees are more likely to contribute positively to organizational goals, including improving operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business performance (Ademola & Olanrewaju, 2024).
In Plateau State, corporate firms are increasingly adopting IT solutions to streamline their operations. However, the effectiveness of IT training programs in improving employee performance has not been extensively studied in this region. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of IT training programs in corporate firms in Plateau State and their impact on employee performance.
Statement of the Problem
Despite the growing importance of IT in corporate organizations, many firms in Plateau State still face challenges in maximizing the potential of their employees through effective IT training programs. Issues such as insufficient training resources, lack of engagement, and the mismatch between training content and real-world applications can hinder the success of IT training programs. This study will assess the effectiveness of IT training programs and their impact on employee performance, providing insights into how organizations can enhance their IT training initiatives (Fadeyi & Usman, 2023).
